Introduction to the Toilet
The toilet, also called a commode, is a lidded container used for urination and defecation. The invention of the toilet is regarded as a great invention, as it solved the problem of human waste disposal. Later, it gradually evolved to use principles like siphoning and spiral siphoning, and now the latest innovations include jet siphon and super spiral siphon flushing toilets. Some people also consider the flush toilet to be the root of all evil because it consumes a large amount of household water. There are many types of toilets, including two-piece and one-piece models. With the development of technology, many new and novel varieties have emerged. According to the way the toilet lid is paired, toilets can be divided into ordinary toilets and smart toilets. Smart toilets can be further categorized into automatically changing cover smart toilets and non-automatically changing cover toilets, with the former including different types such as automatic cover change with washing, automatic cover change with washing and drying, and others.
The history of the toilet can be traced back to the Han Dynasty. At that time, the toilet was called a 'Huzi' and was used exclusively by the emperor; it was said to be made of jade. It was carried by eunuchs who specifically served the emperor to ensure he could use it conveniently at any time. Later, during the Tang Dynasty, because someone in the emperor's family was named Li Hu, the name 'Huzi' was changed to 'Shouzi' or 'Mazi' to avoid taboo. Subsequently, in popular usage, it evolved into the term 'toilet.'
